What is Panopto?

What is Panopto?

The cloud-based hosting service Panopto, managed by the Coulter Faculty Commons, is the WCU supported service for hosting and streaming video for  your online and blended learning experiences.

Here are some of the things you can do with Panopto:

Panopto Runthrough

So, get started in one or more of the following ways:

  1. On your own by activating Panopto within your Blackboard course by clicking the Panopto tool link on the left side of our course console and following the prompts to create a course specific Panopto folder. (see enabling panopto in Blackboard)

  2. Navigate in your browser to panopto.wcu.edu; log in via Blackboard and play in your personal folder (which isn’t shared unless you decide to share it).

  3. Call or email Jonathan Wade in the Coulter Faculty Commons to arrange a personal and/or group introduction.  He’s available for staff meetings, department meetings, and all catered events.

Remember, it is web based.  It saves automatically.  And you can’t break it.
